While you feel really connected to Geralt they still take the time to flesh out a lot of the side characters as well. Things come together nicely throughout the game that keeps you in the loop of what is happening. Despite not knowing what happened in previous games I never felt lost. CD Projekt Red knows what it takes to tell a great story. In my opinion, the strongest point of this game is the expert storytelling. It can often still be clunky or not as responsive as you would expect but the more you play the more you understand the timing of everything.
#The witcher 3 wild hunt rating how to
If you do the tutorial and take the time completely learn how to use Geralt and all his abilities, then I promise the controls make a lot more sense. Did I forget something? Even if I didn’t, this is plenty to think about while fighting multiple enemies at once.
Bombs, potions, food, signs, swords, and crossbow. There is a lot to think about while playing as a witcher. I learned how to play with the way it was set up and I still think the controls are set up is the best way for it to work.
#The witcher 3 wild hunt rating Ps4
The Witcher 3 was my first game on the PS4 so I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing any different. Well, aside from not being a real gamer (#shade) I will say, maybe you’re right. The most common thing I hear when I tell people that The Witcher 3 is my all time favorite game is, “I tried getting into that but the controls were so clunky” etc, etc. Going for a positivity sandwich here, I’ll go ahead and talk about the “weakest” or most complained about component of this game. Sure, you can play for the many different sex scenes, including a humorous and uncanny one in Blood and Wine, but it’s just as satisfying, if not more, to simply build the intimate relationship between Ciri and Geralt. With the inclusion of Blood and Wine, depending on choices you make in the main game, even more of that relationship can be seen by the end of the DLC. It’s beautiful how music, moving scenes, and of course, incredible storytelling can develop the touching father-daughter relationship between Geralt and Ciri. No matter what, you’ll find yourself listening to it outside of the game itself.ĬD Projekt Red manages to show powerful emotions from a seemingly “emotionless” witcher, and they do this through creating the perfect ambiance of several important cutscenes. Or you’ll use it as background music to spark the creativity within you. It is actually one you will buy, put on your iPod or in your car, and jam to it. The soundtrack is a great accompaniment to the incredible views. With the help of top-notch graphics, a beautiful world is created waiting for you to explore it. I had actually never played a game before that looked as great as The Witcher. This game is packed with a lot of incredible content.įirst thing first, it looks fucking fantastic. Be ready to see plenty of old faces and new. This follows Geralt on his quest to find Ciri and ultimately bring down the Wild Hunt. While I missed out on some great games, this one is still a great place to start. The Witcher 3 was the first Witcher game I had ever played. _- As for those of you have seen it on steam, or on the PS4 shop, I hope you’ll give it a try. For those of you that have started it but never finished, it is my goal to convince you that you made a mistake in giving up the game because the controls were too difficult…. This review is for people who have and haven’t played this game. Obviously, I have a lot of positive things to say about this game but I’ll try to be as objective as possible. It’s time to review my all time favorite RPG released on the PS4.
